Accessibility
We are committed to making the Cathedral accessible to all and offer the following facilities and services:
- Wheelchair access to the Cathedral ground floor via a ramp at the West entrance. In addition, there is a wheelchair lift available at the North Door
- Wheelchairs are available within the Cathedral
- Induction loop (not available in the West Gallery)
- Large print hymn books, orders of service and news sheets
- Disabled toilet opposite the shop
- Wheelchair access to Seasons Café and Restaurant, Shop and toilets, clearly marked, from the passage to the University beside the Cathedral Offices
- Guide dogs, assistance dogs and hearing dogs are welcome in the Cathedral at all times
There are some steps in the Cathedral, if you are visiting with accessibility needs please call ahead and we can make the necessary arrangements to make your visit as enjoyable as possible.
Parking at The Cathedral is controlled to ensure that people using the car park are genuine visitors. If you are visiting us and wish to use a disabled parking bay or have a Blue Badge you have several options;
- All visitors may park free for up to two hours.
- You may stay for up to four hours by visiting the shop or Café and entering your number plate into the dedicated console.
- If you’d like to come for an extended visit, please call ahead and let us know your number plate and we will arrange this for you.
