How to find Guildford Cathedral
The Cathedral stands on Stag Hill on the outskirts of the town of Guildford, with excellent road and rail links.
The Cathedral's address is:
Guildford Cathedral
Stag Hill
Guildford
GU2 7UP
By road
There is easy access from the Guildford by-pass (A3). If approaching from London or Portsmouth take the exit signed to Cathedral and University.
From the A3 roundabout there is no foot path heading to the Cathedral, so please be careful of pedestrians walking up the approach.
Please note, if you are visiting the Cathedral for an event, there may be overflow parking arrangements in place. Please see the box office information for your event at the time of booking.
Recent changes to the Highway Code require drivers turning off a main road to give way to Pedestrians who are waiting to cross a minor road rather than actually in the process of crossing. The Cathedral Approach from the West (the Roundabout) is potentially dangerous as a result - both from colliding with a pedestrian or having a vehicle stop suddenly and close in front of a following vehicle. Visiting drivers are requested to exercise extra care following this change.
There is a cycle rack behind the Cathedral office.
If approaching on the A322 or A323 from Bagshot or Aldershot, at the A3 roundabout take the exit signed to Portsmouth and turn off the A3 at the first exit (signed to Cathedral and University).
If entering Guildford from Horsham (A281) or Godalming (A3100), leave the central gyratory system at the exit marked Farnham (A31). After crossing the railway bridge take the first turning right into Guildford Park Road and continue along Madrid Road and The Chase for 3/4 mile. At the roundabout, take the fourth exit for the Cathedral entrance.
