WELCOME

We are delighted to welcome you to Guildford Cathedral and hope you enjoy your visit.

Full details of our worship and what’s on in the Cathedral can be found on this website.

Over the next couple of weeks we look forward to several services of celebration.  Beginning on Saturday 28 and Sunday 29 June with Ordinations. Our ordination services are a time to celebrate and welcome new deacons (those to be given the title Reverend) and priests (deacons who have been training under an incumbent for a year) into the diocese.

Sunday 7 July, our service of Choral Evensong is the valdedition and installation of choristers on the last day of the Academic Year.  We celebrate a wonderful year of Music and bid a fond fareweill to Jeremy our Organ Scholar and some of our Choristers, who move on to new chapters.

From Wednesday 10 July the Cathedral starts to see the set up for the University of Surrey Graduations. We look forward to welcoming graduands and their families who come from all over the world to celebrate their wonderful achievement on such a special day for them.  During the Graduations the Cathedral is closed to visitors, these dates are Friday 12 July and Monday 15 to Friday 19 July. Our services will all take place inteh Lady Chapel, and the Lady Chapel remains open throughout the Graduations for individual prayer.  Do check the Cathedral diary before visiting.
